Author Profile: Peter Smith
- Peter Smith is a relative newcomer to the bicycle commuting scene. While living in Palo Alto, California, he discovered BikePortland.org and was fascinated. 'Where is BikePaloAlto.org?,' he thought. He helped start a bike blog in Austin that failed. He was involved in the startup of the GoogleMapsBikeThere.org initiative. And now back in San Francisco, Peter hopes to grow BikeBlogs.org into a long-lived, sustainable institution that will help to inform, organize, and rally bike people in San Francisco and around the world to a better future. His day job is technical support, though a full-time gig in bike advocacy would be nice. :)
