i should add that one of the reasons i prefer to bike is that it's less taxing on my body than walking. a soccer injury messed me up in weird ways. i suspect the same is true for many people. often, people who are either old, injured, fat, whatever have trouble walking, but they can bike - especially on trikes.

yep - get rid of every single one of them. cars, too. of course, we can't do it overnight. and i'm not suggesting we leave anyone stranded. if we can't find suitable replacements for buses, then we can't get rid of them, but if we can, and i know we can, then we should get rid of them.

Get rid of all buses? Buses are very helpful for older people with limited means. Many people (older or otherwise) have limited mobility, making it difficult to walk much less bike.
