Help Bikes Get A Share Of Stimulus Dollars
It’s a petition, but it’ll take only a few seconds of your time, tops, and you never know when one of things is going to work - so please consider adding your John Hancock. No democratic action is perfect in reaching our objectives, but petitions are a pretty good way to gauge support for a particular policy.
And the Rails-To-Trails Conservancy is a legit organization who have been involved in all sorts of bikey goodness for a long long time, especially over the past couple of years. So, even if you’re not all about petitions, throw your name on the e-document if only to support these folks. They’re definitely on our side.
Even transit-oriented folks who have done battle with Rails-To-Trails folks have a type of symbiotic relationship with them because, as I understand it, the Rails-To-Trails Conservancy has been responsible for at least keeping old, abandoned rail right-of-ways (ROWs) from being swept away by developers looking to make a profit.
