Woman Found Slain Near Richmond Greenway
There’s no indication that the woman was using the bike path when she was murdered:
A woman was found slain near a Richmond elementary school this morning, police said.
A passer-by found the woman at 6:35 a.m. off a bike path known as the Greenway, near Sixth Street and Ohio Avenue, police Lt. Mark Gagan said.
She appeared to have suffered blunt-force trauma, Gagan said. An autopsy by the Contra Costa County coroner’s office will determine the cause of death.
Her name was not immediately released.
I believe ‘the Greenway’ is the Richmond Greenway. You can see the elementary school towards the top of the Google Map inset, below — the bike path is towards the bottom:
