Mission Street Urban Design Charrette In About 12 Hours

by Peter Smith

A ‘charrette,’ from what I gather, is basically an informal get-together of people to (re)design some part of the city - in this case, Mission Street. I originally saw this sign posted in a restaurant window in the Excelsior.

It is being run by the San Mateo County Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, along with the City of Daly City.

I don’t think you have to be qualified in any particular way, but it seems like the type of session one would want to be at if one was concerned about improving bike and walk infrastructure.
