Reminder: Memorial Bike Ride Tonight for Jordan McKay
His family will honor him with a short bike ride beginning at 7 p.m. at the McKinley statue near Fell and Baker streets and then heading to where McKay was killed at 15th Avenue and Cabrillo Avenue.
Sponsored by the McKay Family and The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, the Jordan McKay Memorial Bike Ride concludes with a bonfire at Ocean Beach. Anyone who can’t ride is encouraged to bring a candle or a flower to an altar at 15th and Cabrillo.
“I would like to bring life, love, and peace to the place where he was taken so suddenly,” said Elisa Litsky, McKay’s girlfriend. “I feel that Jordan would want people to come together and ride, something that he loved doing so dearly.”
