The tourists on bikes are invading!
Sausalito ferries are so overwhelmed by tourists on bikes that schedules have been delayed, forcing evening commuters to wait up to an hour to get back to Marin.
“It’s been pretty crazy out there,” said Mary Currie, Golden Gate Bridge District spokeswoman. “There are just so many bikes.”
And, in fact, it is crazy out there. A walk down near Crissy Field, and there were about a bazillion bikers out - 90% tourists.
And, well, the ferry ride to any of the northern ports (Sausalito, Larkspur, etc.) - it’s an absolutely horrendous ride, as you can see from the photo below:
I can’t imagine why anyone would want to be stuck crossing big bodies of water on a ferry. Where they serve beer. Terrible.
These tourists must be stopped!
